28th APF Annual General Meeting and Biennial Conference
The 28th APF Annual Meeting and Biennial Conference, hosted by the National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC) brought together APF member institutions, as well as representatives from governments, civil society and UN agencies in the region.
During the meeting, APF Forum Councillors discussed issues of joint common concern, as well as a range of business-related issues.
The event also included the APF Biennial Conference, held in partnership with the NHRC. This year’s Conference marked the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rightsand celebrated 30 years of national human rights institutions and the Paris Principles; with a sub-theme on the environment and climate change.
The Biennial Conference was an opportunity for APF members, civil society, government representatives, academics, and UN agencies from the Asia Pacific region to share good practices to support communities to respond to human rights impacted by environmental harm and a changing climate.
